On Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons campers are given time to try their hand at different crafts. During the two hours given each day for "arts and crafts", the children can make beaded necklaces, key chains and friendship bracelets, ornaments with bead art, and/or leather projects. Teachers help the campers learn some basic skills or improve old ones and let the students use their own creativity to make craft and art pieces that they can taken home with them. Students usually have the time to try most, if not all, of the crafts previously mentioned. Many of the campers continue working on some projects during their free time at camp. We have found that this time also provides an opportunity for everyone to become better acquainted due to the close interaction amongst staff and children.
